Description
An exquisitely ornamental silhoutte Laleh is the epitome of classic elegance. On a unique hue of deep blue, shimmering gold and silver ornamentation is laid out in perfect symmetry. Accents of sage, rogue and ivory enhance the composition as 3D Rosettes and indanscent fauna glimmer on a bed of tinsel, gotta and sparking stones. The side panels feature an intricate yet heavily detailed jaal which is a statement along with multihued borders which finish the design to perfection. The right care keeps the colour, shape and handwork of your outfit as beautiful as the day it arrived. Follow these guidelines for every embroidered, formal and bridal outfit from House of Maryam.
How to care for embroidered and formal outfits
- Dry clean: dry clean all formal, embroidered and embellished outfits to protect their finish and fine detailing.
- Do not machine wash: machine washing or hand washing can damage the fabric, embroidery and embellishments of delicate and stitched outfits.
- Air dry in the shade: never tumble dry. Drying away from direct sunlight helps the colours stay rich.
- Steam, or iron on low heat: steaming is best for delicate fabrics. If you need to iron, use a low heat setting and iron the outfit inside out.
- Keep heat away from embellishments: never iron or apply direct heat to sequins, beads, crystals, pearls or embroidery.
- Handle handwork gently: avoid wringing, twisting, scrubbing or pulling embroidered and embellished areas.
- Limit friction: rubbing against rough surfaces can loosen embellishments and snag delicate threads.
How to store your designer outfit
- Hang your outfit whenever you can, especially heavily embellished pieces, so it keeps its shape.
- Avoid tight folds over embroidered areas: lasting pressure can flatten or damage embellishments.
- Store it in a cool, dry place in a breathable garment bag.
Fabric care: chiffon, organza, silk, lawn, net and velvet
- Chiffon: light and delicate. Handle gently, and steam rather than iron whenever you can.
- Organza: iron on low heat only, without heavy pressure, to keep its crisp texture.
- Silk and silk blends: dry clean only. Keep away from water and long periods of direct sunlight to protect the colour and sheen.
- Lawn and cotton: can be lightly ironed on moderate heat. Very high temperatures can weaken the fabric.
- Net and embroidered fabrics: very delicate. Keep away from rough surfaces to prevent snagging.
- Velvet: never iron directly. Steam from a safe distance to refresh the pile without crushing it.
Spare embellishments
Where available, spare beads, sequins, tassels, buttons or other embellishments are included as a goodwill gesture for future repairs. Not every design includes spares.
Each outfit is handcrafted, so small variations in embroidery, embellishments and finishing can occur. With the right care, your House of Maryam outfit will keep its beauty for years to come.
